Bathing Ape or Fading Ape?

It has been 3 months since my last blog entry. Really don't know what to write ma, this Tim forced me to write something today, Ok la, I'm going to write about one of my favorite brands.

If you're into high-end streetwear, I'm sure you heard of BAPE or Bathing Ape by Nigo (Teriyaki Boyz). Like a lot of famous streetwear such as Mastermind Japan, BBC, CLOT (CLOT is not an abbreviation of "Cunt Licking Obviously w/ Tongue) by Edison Chen (I'm sure he is more famous with something else). You'll see a lot of those too in places like Sg Wang, Time Square, etc. But hey, they are real fakes (what an oxymoron).

With more and more "R&D" funds, the fakes look quite real nowadays. However, there are still flaws, I found this video from Youtube and thought it was quite useful:



This video serves as a good tool for BAPE fans to identify the fakes, especially when we are buying from the parallel importers or ebay. It is however advisable to get it from the BAPE stores, there is one in Singapore (nearest), one at Central HK, Taipei, and bunch of them from Tokyo, Japan (cheaper in Japan).

So next time make sure you get yourself a Bathing Ape not Fading Ape ;p

What does the combination of mastermind+skeleton remind you? I guess you'll be like. "what the hell?!". To me, Mastermind + Skeletons = expensive!

You'll be like, "chur, skeleton only is it? a lot of Ah Beng also wearing lar!" Wrong! if ah beng is wearing Mastermind's Skeleton, he is one super loaded ah beng, coz Mastermind's T-shirt cost more than RM1,000 normally....crazy! Yes, crazy but there are these crazy people can afford it!
